Celebrate Wirral is not a regular events listing site so it follows that the diary pages will not be a traditional events list. What we are looking to do with the diary is to use this feature to bring to the attention of all visitors to the site information regarding organisational and consultative meetings, gatherings and presentations such as the very necessary, but not very well known, Annual General Meetings of organisations. We would want to promote Open Days where people can find out about opportunities to join organisations or get more information about what is on offer in Wirral.
There are a number of Consultation Exercises being undertaken in Wirral with regard to the future of, for instance, New Brighton, West Kirby and Hoylake. If consultation is to be effective, public attendance and involvement in shaping the future of Wirral is crucial and therefore this kind of information needs to be all the more readily available.
